While we might only be two weeks into 2018, there are still many questions to ask and many trends to unfold. Will culottes be the new "it" pant? Are basket bags all the rage this spring? Will the subway systems actually run on time? These hard hitting inquiries got me thinking... what would Carrie Bradshaw wear in 2018? I chose to dedicate this post in alignment with our recent sub-freezing temperatures. We can all assume Carrie would be wearing cute crop tops and high-waisted pants in the summer, but it's times like these you really begin to question one's ability to stay stylish and warm at the same time.
COAT: DROME (more options here and here) | SKIRT: Manoush (sold out, love this crystal studded style) | SHOES: & Other Stories (from LY, but these lace-ups are the exact replica) | SWEATER: Zara | BAG: Elaine Turner

Carrie would obviously wear a bright, voluminous and colorful coat. While this style by Drome is not for sale online, these options here, here and here are bit more affordable and equally as fun. It is challenging enough for me to find something contemporary, on-trend and fashionable during these cold months, I can only imagine Carrie's debacle. In all honesty she would probably forgo any sensible option and end up wearing a cropped look like this and freeze for the sake of fashion.
She would absolutely hop on the over-the-knee boot look. Carrie pioneered almost every major trend from the aughts, and I have no doubts she would have been at the forefront of this thigh grazing look. I love these lace up styles from Steve Madden. I think she would have loved these too in velvet.
Of course she would be wearing a denim mini in sub-freezing temps! No matter the storm (literally), she was always a risk-taking, fashionista temptress. This embroidered style is LY by Manoush . Other retailers made cute ones in leather and wool, which are a bit more practical when bracing the chilly weather.
I am also certain she would rock a printed clutch. Black handbags are too passe for Ms. Bradshaw's taste. A brocade style like this by Elaine Turner is the perfect statement piece for a New York girl's wardrobe. I love the pop of pink and turquoise too.
