These past few weeks the nation has been hit with some obscenely frigid temps coupled with the crazy snow storm aptly named the "Bomb Cyclone". While freezing temperatures may prevent most of the northeast from leaving their homes this weekend, us New Yorkers already have their weekend plans scheduled with birthday dinners and catch-up drinks forcing us to bop around the city all day and all night long. To prepare for the below zero arctic winds, I am choosing to find solace in heavy wool knits, suede booties and a chic wool coat. Cold air can't stop city folk from attending a coveted dinner reservation at Chinese Tuxedo or an omakase meal at newly opened Juku. You'll find me in this sleek look with lots of layers to keep me toasty while waiting for Ubers from spot to spot.
THE IVORY SWEATER

I'll be pairing an ivory knit like this one all day and night long. A heavy wool sweater is an ideal piece to fight the wind chills. I like to layer my sweaters with long sleeve Ts in a thermal or cotton knit for extra warmth.
THE PLAID COAT

A printed wool coat is an ideal choice to elevate your look. Forgo those heavy parks and layer, layer, layer! I love these options, but any print will do to add a pop to the concrete streets of the city.
THE DENIM
________________________________________________________________________________
It's no secret that I love my Re-Done denim. These cropped styles might be a bit cold for walking the streets, but sometimes we must freeze for fashion, right?... All kidding aside, these are my favorite pair and you can always pair them with a bootie that cover the ankle.
COLD WEATHER ACCESSORIES

I fell head over heels with these leopard gloves (on sale too, yay!) from Club Monaco. They might clash against my plaid coat, but I couldn't resist! Have fun with your cold weather accessories. You wear them for maybe an hour total throughout the day. Make them your statement piece while bundled up in your many layers.
THE BAG
You will want something that can hold your gloves, hat, chap-stick, hand-warmers and anything else you hold on to for warmth. My Chloe bag was a gift from the holidays and I love that it can be worn as a shoulder bag, messenger bag or clutch. While this specific bag was a bit of a splurge, I love finding versatile bags that can be worn during the day and during the night.
THE BOOTIES
My Stuart Weitzmans never fail me during the colder months. I love this style that I bought last year, but they keep bringing them back in a slightly altered look. Any suede bootie will do, but find ones that hit at the right point to pair with your cropped denim
Your coats are gorgeous dear, and those leopard gloves look amazing!
