MY BRIDAL SHOWER

Milestones generally only happen once in your life, so it is best to enjoy the moment and take in everything at the given time. This is exactly what happened this past weekend when I celebrated my bridal shower with friends and family on the roof of my building. I am so fortunate to have such wonderful friends and family who traveled from all over to New York City to help me celebrate my upcoming nuptials. Traditionally, brides are supposed to be left in the dark when it comes to the planning of a shower, but being a bit of a controlling person, I was very much aware of the planning process.

Instead of hosting the event at a restaurant or hall, my mother and bridesmaids chose to turn my rooftop into a beautifully decorated space based on my bridal shower Pinterest board. It basically looked like a mini Pinterest board, with lots of florals, balloons and matching pink and gold place settings.

My bridesmaids also took the time to create custom floral tiaras for all the girls. Each one was decorated with various flowers in ivory and pastel hues with the exception of my pink petals, to stand out among the crowd as the bride.

By Chloe catered the event with all of my favorite food options from their menu. It remains one of my favorite spots in the city for healthy, delicious food. I was so excited for everyone to experience the amazing Vegan options they offer.

After all my debating and shopping, I ended up with this beautiful, Ulla Johnson dress from Barneys. I loved the ditsy print and ruffle details throughout. It felt so summery, chic and comfortable.

I originally planned to open my gifts back at my apartment, but my mother and mother-in-law were eager to see all the fun household items I registered for at Anthropolgie, Bloomingdales and Williams & Sonoma. If you happen to glean over any of my registries, you might notice the lack of kitchen supplies and electrical items, because in New York, there is nowhere to put a KitchenAid or large food-processor.

As a special thank you to my wonderful bridesmaids, I gifted them with these super cute initialed passport holders from Deux Lux.
Overall, I had such a wonderful day and know the amazing day is reflective of amazing things to
come:)

  2. Congratulations! It looks like you had a wonderful party. I think utilising the roof was such a great idea! Much better than a hall & you’d be home a lot quicker haha. The decor looks so pretty, definitely Pinterest-worthy!

  5. Drinks, food, gifts and flowers are making this bridal shower extremely royal. I am planning to organize my cousin’s wedding at one of influential Seattle Wedding venues next month. Hunting for beautiful flower decoration services online. Hoping to book both soon.
