The holidays are a wonderful time to really step up your festive wardrobe. Sequins and sparkle can sometimes feel a bit trite and overplayed. I was searching for an ideal look that could easily go the distance beyond the holiday season. I instantly fell in love with this plaid piece from Hellessy (more affordable options here, here and here). Plaid can be worn throughout the winter season and remains equally appropriate in February as it does in December. I paired the top with these satin Hellessy pants, but any dressed up trouser will do when heading to an office party or friend's apartment to ring in the upcoming holiday and New Year.
