The New York summer social calendar is filled with events ranging from Broadway premiers to music concerts to museum openings. It's taxing just to keep up! That said, Summertime is one of the best seasons of the year because us New Yorkers can finally utilize all the outdoor space the city has to offer. These are some of the events I most look forward to, and of course, what to wear to them:)
Each year, Lincoln Center brings in the best, fun-loving, dancing music for three weeks to twist and twirl on the Lincoln Center promenade. New Yorkers of all ages attend this three week dance session for a guaranteed night of fun. Find a sparkly number that will catch the evening sun as you spin around with your dance partner:)
In keeping with music events of the summer, this downtown event is not to be missed. Not only because it is free, but also because this year Common will be headlining this summer music must-see. Head to the Battery Park pier to witness this once-in-a-lifetime music extravaganza. Stay cool in a lightweight pant and strapless top. I highly recommend wearing something super comfortable for easy arm swaying and toe tapping all night long.
Each year, Central Park employs some of the greatest talent to take the stage and entertain thousands of music-goers. Various artists across genres ranging from hip-hop to pop to rock play to throngs of fans looking for music throwbacks and dancing fun in the summer months. I'll be wearing an easy, breezy dress with a large tote to store lots of water and a large towel for a sitting area.
