ENGAGEMENT

Most bloggers post their every move and every outfit for all their days. I, however, am not like that. I choose to keep some personal events private until I am ready for the big reveal to take place. So, with that being said, it is finally time to announce my engagement to my wonderful boyfriend of the past five years. It came as a huge surprise to me in mid September, as it was the last thing I was expecting to happen on the warm Fall day. We were celebrating our five year anniversary, and instead of jewelry, I was gifted concert tickets to the one and only Adele. Not too shabby for a present and I assumed nothing else was coming my way, being the tickets were a hot commodity to get in the city. So on Saturday morning I was shocked when he pulled out a box underneath the pillow to reveal a diamond sparkler and unveiled our daily and nightly plans to celebrate. I was so surprised I forgot to even say "yes", only laughter and tears came out. It was truly a day  I will never forget and wedding plans are already underway for a 2017 Fall wedding in the city.

Now that I can divulge all my engagement details, I also wanted to share our engagement photos taken in the last week. Our wonderful photographer Susan Shek chose only the best places throughout the West Village for all of our romantic shots. In keeping with the wedding theme, I chose to wear a white dress and spruce it up with my over the knee boots. Perfect for both the occasion and the Fall weather. My fiance went with an all black ensemble, sporting easy loafers and dark jeans. Super city chic all the way around.

Now that my wedding planning is on its way, I will be highlighting all the activities. From dress deciding to floral decor, I cannot wait to share in all the planning and fun events to come! If anyone has any great recommendations on wedding planning or great wedding tips, please do share! I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate all the wedding help I can get! Plus, a wedding in New York City is always a night to remember:)

  2. I have been a wedding vender (Photographer) in the area for twenty five years and I have never been treated so well by a wedding venue like I was at Chicago wedding venues. I am usually taken care of as a "last on the list" at venues, which I understand where the bride, groom and guest come first but the entire staff from the minute I walked in the door treated me so well.
