Gleaning over the menu, my friend and I chose our options carefully. We first indulged in the burrata before moving on to our entrees. Unlike other burrata in the past, it was teamed with strawberries and watercress, a perfect compliment to break the saltiness of the soft cheese. As we snacked on the flaxseed crackers and pea hummus, in lie of bread, our entrees arrived in all their glory. My grass-fed cheeseburger was one for the books, as the juiciness of the burger held its own against other heavy-hitting burgers from places like J.G. Melon and Minetta Tavern. All while being washed down with a cool glass of rose, a perfect finish to a wonderful meal.
Most importantly I always like to make note of my outfit choice wherever I am dining. Having been to Café Clover before, I knew the relaxed environment and clean interior channeled more Ralph Lauren chic than Alexander Wang cool. So with that in mind, I searched through my closet and chose some looks that felt right for the occasion. I know it may seem like I am over thinking this, but paaaaleassse, you all know you do the same thing wherever you are going! I felt just right with my chosen outfit with a mom jean and ruffle top. It is feminine, comfortable and effortless, but remains downtown glam and on-trend. What do you think?
