(Burberry Fall 15)
Fringe is everywhere this season. I've had this fringe scarf in my closet since last year and have been waiting all year to wear it. I knew I could re-create my favorite Burberry looks using it as a layering piece. It is also a great accent for any look. Note, the fringe is suede with a tribal print, so it does double duty as an on-trend piece.
As the weather got cooler throughout the day, I added a cable knit poncho over my button down and added the fringed scarf. The color palette was perfect for the Fall streets of New York. Olives, burgundy and brown is perfect for the Autumn season. Below I layered each piece to create texture and dimension to the look.
I love the pop of detail from the plaquet of my button down. The top is by Isabel Marant. She is known for her tribal like influences and this top is no different in tribal accents.
Using inspiration straight from the runway, I placed the scarf under my cable knit poncho and let the fringe pop out from the bottom. This re-creates the Burberry poncho look with tribal prints and fringed hems. I love how the fringe moves as I walk. It's a great way to feel uber chic without all the fussiness.
A candid in Soho from the shoot featuring all the layering pieces.
