Mixed Americana

It is always nice to go home. Reuniting with family, sharing laughs, life stories and enjoying home cooking is always special. One thing I always love when going home.... scouring through my Mom's closet. Like myself, my Mother's expansive closet includes copious options including; blazers, blouses, skirts, pants and a huge assortment of jewelry. That being said, I knew there were lots of styling opportunities for the few days at home. I could spend days finding inspiration in her closet, but for today I chose to mix prints and create an Americana look that felt perfect for the Thanksgiving holiday. I coincidentally chose three very American designers when pulling pieces together for this look. Fortunately the weather felt more like an early Fall day, than the usual Winter, Thanksgiving cold. Here I am wearing an Ikat printed jacket with a horse-drawn blouse. The Americana look was perfect for this American holiday.
